I’ve been producing audio since 2019.
Sound brings me close—to places across China, and to the tender wreckage inside people. It taught me maturity, kept me curious, and made me fall in love with capturing truth and vulnerability.
Lately, I’ve been happily exiled to the deep Midwest. For the first time, I'm diving into an ocean of faiths in search of my own. Out here, far from the cities I used to know, I’m chasing the sound of an America that is old, weathered, and stubborn, and still talking, if you’re patient enough to listen.
I’m the senior producer of two podcasts at Goshen College in Indiana since 2026: The Gratitude Letters, which listens for the quiet goodness in human relationships, and Just Stories, which probes the friction between justice and faith.
I was the senior producer of China’s pioneering narrative podcasts StoryFM(故事FM）, produced 100+ episodes, and coverage included investigative documentaries, long-form interviews, and on-the-ground reporting. The Show has featured on NPR’s Rough Translation and The New York Times.
I create and produce audio content for both Chinese and English-language media — sometimes as a reporter, sometimes as a producer in the background making sure everything sounds right.
In between stories, I freelance as a bilingual translator and fact-checker for U.S. media outlets, most recently for The New York Times and NPR.
I'm also the program director of Voice Exchange, a cross-cultural initiative connecting emerging audio creators from China and the U.S. through workshops and public events.
